Fun to build!

Received the crane set in a very nice wooden box...the German quality shows just with the box! I chose to build the tower crane and all pieces were present. There were even extra pieces that I used to make the unit a bit more stronger along with adding my personal touch to it. The unit took about 8 hours to build but was quite fun! The only complaint that I do have is Eitech's customer support. Before I purchased the set, I asked about the motor and controller functionality and it took about three weeks to receive the answer (Eitech USA had to request information from Germany). Otherwise, the product is great!

Could have been great but....

Having built with various metal construction sets over the years this was my first experience with Eitech. Unfortunately there were many missing pieces and I had to return the kit. This is an indication of poor quality control which is not forgivable in a toy costing $250. I would avoid this manufacturer.

Great for my 8 year old!!

My son built this in 2 days and I only helped with coupling the tower to the boom as there are ball bearings that scatter if movements aren't just right. The electronics and 3 channel movements are brilliant. The best learning/engineering toy we have ever purchased. Great German engineering.
