Great Tractor, but read review ...
By LS
My wife and I bought this for our 4 year old. Says it's for 3 - 7. To be honest - it's a bit small for our 4 year old. With that said - I was afraid it wasn't going to go in the grass, HOWEVER ... both rear wheels have their own motor, unlike our much bigger jeep ride-on which only has 1 motor. So, this thing plowed right through 8" of grass with no problem at all. My biggest complaint is the size - again, it could be a bit bigger than it is.

1 other note - the top that closes (the hood) is a bit flimsy. My son already ripped it off by accident. Luckly you can just snap it back in place. A top down closure, versus a bottom up would have been better (although Peg Perego kept the design like a real tractor, so I won't ding them on it).

That's it. Great toy -MADE IN THE USA (finally!!!), and priced right. Peg Perego ... how bout making a bigger one, like the Cadillac Escalade units Toys R Us sells? I'll be your first customer.

THanks.

Will not stand up to children's abuse
By Robert
First off, if you are debating wether to buy this tractor with the trailer, or the one with the front end loader, get the front end loader. The trailer is total garbage. The plastic sides are snapped into place and my son broke them within the first hour of playing with it.

The hitch mount also broke and is not capable of withstanding a 25 pound 2 year old bouncing around on it. The way the hood mounts is terrible, cheap, and will likely break soon as well. I will rig with metal hinges if i have to. The tractor itself is fairly sturdy BUT the exhaust stack is held on by 1 screw and will probably get broken off.

The battery that comes with it does last a good amount of time, rougly an hour and a half on a charge. The tractor has a lot of power and runs off road very well. It does spin its wheels a lot, but it is engineered to do so. If it didnt slip the wheels the gear boxes would get stripped very easily being made of plastic.

My 2 year old son has had a blast with this toy, and it will likely last until he outgrows it. However, i have owned a peg perego gaucho that was used when i bought it and was about 10 times more durable than their new products.

If i were to buy again, i would order the tractor with the front end loader and make my own trailer.

4 year old loves it
By shopper88
He learned how to drive it in minutes including reverse. He loves it. This will fit him until age 7 since it doesn't matter how long his legs get. The cars we looked at were also nice but people complained about not much leg room for a 3 year old. He can ride this one for alot of years
