I love these things... especially now that they have green
By Dominic La Pinta
I would beg to differ with the one reviewer concerning these lightsabers and having to not be too rough with them. I have done repeated testings with them and have found them to be as durable as the telescoping Qui Gon Jin lightsaber that came out when episode 1 first hit the theaters. I still have that one to this day because the plastics that they made the blade from are the toughest in among every single telescoping toy lightsaber. All that aside I was using ti as a comparison to how strong and durable these "ultimate fx lightsabers" are. When I used to quest for lightsabers years ago, I would buy one but the down side was the fact that thye used soft plastics in the blade parts of the lightsabers. I actually saw two guys fencing and one of their lightsabers got bent when it blocked another one. Now years later with these new "ultimate fx lightsabers" I was pumped to buy one because of all the positive reviews concerning the big hundred dollar ones. And when I got my first ultimate fx lightsaber I was amazed at the quality of it. Then I went out testing it because I wanted to be sure of how strong it was. Not only was it strong but by accident one day I swung it in my basement and did a recoil with all my strength and didnt happen to see a metal pipe sticking out of the wall. Well, the lightsaber smashed into it and I freaked out a little because of past experience with poorly made lightsabers. But, low and behold, the lightsaber didnt break and powered up and powered down so many times afterwards.

Anyways, just goes to show that they really put alot of quality into these new "ultimate fx lightsabers." Very durable and strong and responsive in their battle sounds. I love them, and they make fencing safe, and of so beautiful their colors are, especially in the night time or the darkness.

Good for the $39.99
By Rezivor
I had recently purchased one of these(Luke's)for myself. And a Anakin FX lightsaber for my son. We have a great time running around crazy in the house with these. Especially at night! They are much better than the lightsabers I wanted back in the 80's.
The sounds and lights are awesome! Overall the sounds is pretty responsive to the motion of the saber. If you swing it hard, or lightly hit something (another saber,ect..) it will flicker and make the sound of sabers clashing. They have switches for on/off and like a sample mode. The sabers take a few AA batteries. My son afterwards decided he wanted the green Luke lightsaber really bad too. So I bought him one for Christmas. And a Darth Vader one for myself, this Christmas. They are worth the $39.99 in my opinion. However, if you look around at the right times. You can find them for about $29.99. I bought two out of the 4 for the $29.99 price.

The Force Is Strong With This One...
By J. Wood
Hasbro's new Ultimate FX Lightsaber is tough, kid friendly and surprisingly realistic. This is basically a mini Force FX, it has the same size handle only made of plastic instead of aluminum, is sturdy enough to take a beating from little Sith lords and features a motion sensor that causes "swooshing" sounds when you move lightsaber. It also has an electro luminesent blade that lights up very bright, infact the Luke Skywalker lightsaber is the brightest of the bunch so far (try not to look directly into the blade for to long while it's turned on or you will be seeing in pink). It has power up, power down and steady on lighting effects and battle clashing and energy humming sound effects. In short, this lightsaber looks, sounds and even feels like the real thing. The only thing I have against it is that the blade could have been a little bit longer which is why I only gave it a four out of five. Besides that it's well worth the thirty dollar price tag. It's the "Force FX mini me", like the high end prop replica only sized down for kids...and alot more affordable. Don't pay over one hundred dollars for one of the big ones when you could get one of these for half the price.
